Unlike a matrix type based on a grid, the points in BDot, are placed individually on an optical basis. Starting with the ExtraThin weight, the number of points is reduced by half for the following 5 weights. The centre of the dots remains in the same place, while they become larger as the weight increases through Thin, Light, Regular, Bold and ExtraBold. In the last two weights, they become a solid line with indentations. BDot has been created to complement BLine. It shares with it the same skeleton and the same width, making it easy to work in perfect tandem in print as in animation.
