The Lo-Res family of fonts is a synthesis of pixelated designs, including Emigre's earliest coarse resolution fonts such as Emigre, Emperor, Oakland and Universal families. They were originally created in the mid 1980s on the newly introduced Macintosh computer using a crude public domain software. They've since been upgraded to perform comfortably in the present while providing a little taste of the early days of the digital past.
