Satyr 0 styles
Satyr, the gold winner in the Norwegian Visuelt awards in 2013, is a book text face drawn entirely without straight lines. Its proportions are vaguely Venetian and the contrast renaissance-influenced, but it still doesn't belong in any these coarse categories. Satyr contrasts convex with concave curves, sculpting letterforms instead of mimicking traces from a physical tool. Although Satyr might seem quirky in most respects, it really is a workhorse book face, intended for a point-size of ten or eleven. With its stubby appearance and exaggerated details, it is really not meant for setting big. That suits its unfaithful companion Faunus a lot better.
