Sculpin is a typeface inspired by the finishing details of square edged typographic tools like the chisel and brush. These details - re-interpreted as high contrast joins, sharp cuts and reverse terminations - form a collection of related cues that help thread the letters of Sculpin together. The resulting typeface is a stew of American sign painting, Swiss Modernism and the stone chisel rendered to life with Bézier curves. The wide bodied family is 5 weights with matching italics and a weight axis variable font.
