The BLine has been created to complement the earlier finished BDot. It took the skeleton and connected the points as closely as possible. It was necessary to first create the BDot typeface, more prescriptive in essence. Its very large x-height is not only interesting for sign systems, but it also allows small and economic text use while remaining comfortable to read in print as on the screen.
