Cheee explores two different spectrums: yeast and gravity. Higher yeast, and things get more plump. Higher gravity, and the weights distribution shifts towards bottom-heavy.
Obviously, Cheee inspired by typefaces like Scorpio & Hoopla from the 1970s, but it began as a rounded and high contrast version of Aldo Novarese’s Sintex.
Cheee Small is the only part of the family that is a bit out of this designspace. It’s intended for smaller use in subheads.
