Almost not a serif-serif typeface, a presque-serif, loosely based on the proportions of the Classic Roman Majuscule found on the Trajan’s Column in Rome. The family consists of seven weights from Thin to Black. With its mix of classic proportions, low contrast and loads of quirky detailing Melanzane has a friendly yet refined character, with the lighter weights coming off more delicate and formal the while black and bold weights come off contagiously playfull.
