Fontstand

Wide-spread grotesque European designs from the 1910s were inspiration for Slavia. You can find such typefaces in historic ads, posters, newspapers and avant-garde collages. However, these sources served Vojtěch and Matyáš only as a foundation for new drawings. Many styles are new with calligraphic details, alternative characters and features. Slavia contains a zeitgeist of its time, but without any nostalgia. This is one of the universal fonts which can stand out anywhere from corporate identity to book design and websites.
