LTR Beowolf is the original RandomFont!
Engineered and imagined by Just van Rossum and Erik van Blokland in 1989, the typeface used to change its shapes in the printer during printing, using raw PostScript.
Today, the design is reborn and converted into a well-behaved OpenType font, using six randomized alternatives that get switched around and is available in five styles from R20 to R24, representing the degrees of randomization.
Also NEW on Fontstand are the two LTR Beosans families (in Soft and Hard versions), using the randomization ideas of Beowolf on a humanist sans with five levels of randomization and two weights each.
The fonts mentioned in this article are available to rent by the month for a fraction of their retail price on Fontstand.
