Catherine Dixon is designer, writer and teacher. She co-authored Signs: lettering in the environment (2003) with Phil Baines, has written many articles, and curated a number of typographic conferences. She holds a PhD from the Graphic Communication Programme at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts, London) where she also teaches. From 2011 to 2012, she was a Visiting Professor at the University of São Paulo in Brazil.
